Eka High Pressure Fittings is a one of the best control valve manufacturer in India. Also exporter & supplier of control valves in India. It is used world class updated technology and the best possible quality for Industrial Valves manufacturing. Valves are one of the most critical components of any fluid related system. They are essentially devices that are used to regulate the flow of fluids by opening or closing pathways in piping systems. Because of their functionality, valves are found in virtually every industrial process like water and sewage treatment, mining, electricity production, agricultural irrigation, oil, gas, and petroleum processing, food processing, chemical and plastic manufacture, and many more. As with any industrial device, the quality can vary a lot depending on the manufacturing process used and especially the company that is producing the product.

Valves provide several functions, including:

  • Starting or stopping flow based on the valve state
  • Regulating flow and pressure within a piping system
  • Controlling the direction of flow within a piping system
  • Throttling flow rates within a piping system
  • Improving safety through relieving pressure or vacuum in a piping system

Valves FAQ

In an open valve, fluid flows in a direction from higher pressure to lower pressure. The simplest, and very ancient, valve is simply a freely hinged flap which swings down to obstruct fluid (gas or liquid) flow in one direction, but is pushed up by the flow itself when the flow is moving in the opposite direction.

  1. Ball Valve. Predominantly equipped with quick-acting 90-degree turn handles, these valves use a ball to control flow to provide easy on-off control.
  2. Butterfly Valve.
  3. Check Valve.
  4. Gate Valve.
  5. Knife Gate Valve.
  6. Globe Valve. …
  7. Needle Valve. …
  8. Pinch Valve.
The valves prevent the backward flow of blood. These valves are actual flaps that are located on each end of the two ventricles (lower chambers of the heart). They act as one-way inlets of blood on one side of a ventricle and one-way outlets of blood on the other side of a ventricle.

The main purpose of a valve is to control media flow through a system. The valve may be used to start, stop, or throttle the flow to ensure safe and efficient operation of the process. To learn more about the mechanisms that valves use to control flow, please read Valve Types.
